Open a can of tuna, drain the water out, how much tuna is actually in there?
Over 50% is water. The water is a fill to make it seem like there is more product. It weighs more, and the can is bigger. Therefore the consumer feels like he is getting his dollars' worth.
But what is the ecological impact? Or where is the energy efficiency when the world's container ships carry "watered down" product. It weighs more, so it takes more energy to transport. The transportation industry just charges the tuna cannery more to haul more product. The tuna cannery simply charges more per can.
Capitalism!
like that huh,
